What’s included in our session?
You’ll get a customized online gallery with all of your downloadable, edited photos from our session. You can order prints straight from your gallery!
What should I expect from our shoot?
My style is fairly laid back. In order for your photos to tell your story, they need to look and feel like you. For that reason, I like to keep the posing to a minimum. I’ll give you a general idea of where to stand, and how I’d like the shot to look, but you know better than anyone how to look like you. Engagement photos usually involve quite a bit of cuddling because, after all, you’re about to get married!
What should we wear?
Be comfortable. Keep in mind that I may ask you to sit down, climb some stairs, or even get your feet a little wet. Everyone in the photo should wear colors that go together without being identical, and without visible logos. Since we’ll have time for a couple different outfits, most people choose one casual, and one a bit more formal. & don’t forget that we’ll see your shoes, too!
How much time should I plan for?
I ask that you set aside your evening for engagement sessions, and 2.5 hours for all other sessions to allow for a few locations, clothing changes, and travel time.
What happens if it rains on our scheduled date?
Weather happens. If the forecast isn’t looking too promising for the day our shoot is scheduled, we can look at other location options or simply reschedule.
What’s the best time of day for photos?
The sunlight is at its prettiest in the early morning and late afternoon. I do my best to schedule sessions at one of these times.
Do we get to pick the location of our shoot?
I love it when a client comes to me with a location in mind. You know the places that are special to you much better than I do. But if you’re stuck, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve. ; )
How do we book you?
When you’ve decided that we’re a good fit, I ask for a signed contract and the session fee at the time of our shoot.
How long will my gallery be available to download/order photos?
Your gallery will stay up for 6 months, plenty of time for you to back up those photos!
I don’t like getting my picture taken. Help!
You’re not alone, but there are a few things that can make the process a little easier. First, just relax. I promise it won’t be as scary as you think. Secondly, do your best to look your best. If you’re a female, I suggest getting your hair & makeup done professionally on the day of our shoot. This is also a great opportunity to get yourself some new clothes. Wear something that makes you feel awesome, and the pictures will show it.
